Notice is herby given to Article7, Section 23 (c) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Washington Parish Council on Aging, Inc.
A meeting in Washington Parish will be held at the Bogalusa Senior Center, at 603 Willis Ave. Bogalusa La. on Friday, May 26, at 2:00 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased mileage rates without further voter approval of adopting the the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year's maximum the estimated of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $600,000.00

Washington Parish Council on Aging Membership Drive Open
The Washington Parish Council on Aging Membership Drive is now open without restriction to parish resident who reached the age of majority. Applications are available at the Bogalusa Senior Center at 603 Willis Ave. Bogalusa, La 70427 from 8:30 to 3:30 pm. People who have been indentified as current members two weeks before the April meeting My vote for the board members. Membership fees will not be charged. Membership roll will close on Friday April 7, 2023. The Washington Parish annual membership meeting will be held April 21, 2023, starting at 11:30 am at The Bogalusa Senior Center, the group will nominate and elect board members, receive reports and conduct any other business that arise.
