About Us

Promoting Quality of Life for Seniors

The Washington Parish Council on Aging is a non-profit corporation promoting the overall welfare and independence of persons aged sixty years and above in Washington Parish. We provide various services such as congregate meals, home-delivered meals, transportation, homemaker services, group activities, Medicare counseling, and more. We also serve as an advocate for seniors and coordinate with other organizations in the community.

While our primary sources of funding are provided by federal and state agencies, private donations are necessary, essential, and greatly appreciated. For more information on ways you can help, click here to learn more.

The Washington Parish Council on Aging will not, directly or through contractual or other arrangements, discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or handicap in provision of services, program benefits, or employment. All locations are handicapped accessible.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors is comprised of 15 members that reside throughout Washington Parish. The board hosts several meetings throughout the year to discuss various topics that relate to the overall success of our organization.

If you have any comments for the next meeting, please submit them by email. All meetings of the Washington Parish Council on Aging are open to the public, and meeting minutes will be posted online.
