Public Transit Information

  • Passengers may be picked up from and transported to any destination located within the parish boundaries. Our transit does not cross state lines. Specific routes and schedules are available upon request.

  • Vehicle types include 12-passenger lift-equipped, handicap accessible buses and 7-passenger accessible minivans. Passengers cannot request a specific vehicle or vehicle type when scheduling a trip.

  • Demand-response trips are trips when the rider calls for service each time a trip is desired. These requests must be received at least two days prior to the requested trip. Same-day requests will be honored on a first come, first served, space-available basis.

  • Subscription services are recurring trips that the rider is not required to call in and schedule each time services are needed. These trips are scheduled on a weekly basis.

Due to the high volume of requests, WPPT maintains a waiting list for subscription trips when space is not available to accommodate a riders request. You will be notified if you are placed on the waiting list and given the approximate wait time.
